More Acts Announced for Hinterland

Feature by Katy Hutcheson | 05 Mar 2009

April looks set to be a tuneful month for Glasgow, with the increasing quality and assortment of U.K artists performing at the forthcoming Hinterland Festival. Organisers have announced a further 15 acts to play at the event this April.

Already making a name for herself and gaining an extended fan base which includes the one and only Bjork, Michachu will be gracing the Glasgow stage. Alongside her will be the face-painted, electronic beat maker Drums of Death who has recently toured with Hot Chip and Peaches. Local favorites, Sons and Daughters will also be on hand to perform their latest work.

Hinterland’s art and music events will be staged in and around 20 city centre venues that range from smaller, intimate 100 capacity venues to larger 1500 capacity spaces. With the demise of so many other alternative festivals in the last 12 months, this is a pretty unique opportunity to catch as many alternative artists as you can.

Tickets for Hinterland are priced at £42 for a two-day ticket and £23.50 for single day tickets. A limited number of discounted early bird two-day tickets will initially be available priced £35 and are available here.

Further to those already confirmed previously, the newly announced acts are:
