Article by News Team | 13 Jan 2014

For the third year in a row, the GIT Award will be given to an emerging band from the Liverpool and Merseyside area in recognition of their achievements and potential. This year's judges include music journalists Simon Price and Jude Rogers, and Creation Records boss Alan McGee.

Previous winners have included Loved Ones and Baltic Fleet. The winners are decided prior to a ceremony at Liverpool's Kazimier on 11 April, and will take home a £1000 prize fund. To enter, bands need to send four tracks to getintothis@gmail.com, or by snail mail by 31 January to Peter Guy, The GIT Award, Liverpool Daily Post & ECHO, PO Box 48, Old Hall Street, Liverpool, L69 3EB. Visit the Get Into This site for more details.
