It’s been ten years since New Zealand comedy-folk duo Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie last appeared together on screen as Flight of the Conchords, in their much-loved HBO series of the same name. It’s been a decade, too, since the last Conchords record, 2009’s I Told You I Was Freaky. In the ensuing years we’ve been promised a reunion in the form of a Flight of the Conchords movie, although nothing has materialised as yet. Rare sightings of the pair in concert, such as their UK arena tour last year, have kept fans of New Zealand's fourth most popular folk parody duo sated at least. And today there’s even better news for Concords fans: their new live album Live in London, recorded during that UK tour, is released 8 March via Sub Pop.

Recorded at Hammersmith Apollo last summer, Live in London features some of Clement and McKenzie’s best known songs including The Most Beautiful Girl (In The Room), Bowie and Inner City Pressure, but the set also boasts seven new tracks that have never been released before. Among the highlights of these mint fresh songs are Iain and Deanna (listen in the player below), a saucy ditty about the hot and heavy office romance between Iain from accounting and Deanna from HR; and the hilarious Father and Son (listen here), about an estranged father reconnecting with his offspring. The other new tracks are Summer of 1353, Stana, Seagull, Back on the Road, and Bus Driver, while the live album also includes some of the onstage banter between Clement and McKenzie that make their live shows so special.

Flight of the Conchords’ Live in London is released on 2xCD/3xLP/DL/CS worldwide via Sub Pop on 8 Mar
