Experimental compilation in the works from Tim Burgess' O Genesis label

Article by News Team | 14 Jan 2014

Charlatans frontman Tim Burgess has been using his O Genesis label to release experimental, lo-fi and punk records for the past few years, with notable EPs and singles from Kurt Wagner of Lambchop, Nik Colk Void of Factory Floor, lo-fi legend R. Stevie Moore and others. Celebrating three years of the label, Burgess this week announced a new compilation showcasing the best the label has to offer, with a few exclusives thrown in for good measure.

The compilation will feature tracks from Burgess himself, and the above-named artists, as well as punk legends the Membranes, London's Throwing Up, and more. Here's the 'playable sleeve' of Nik Colk Void's Gold E single, released in 2012, in action. The compilation is out on O Genesis on 10 March.
