Evian Christ teases new EP, Waterfall

Article by News Team | 14 Jan 2014

In-demand producer Evian Christ this week dropped a teaser for his new EP Waterfall, the follow-up to 2011's Kings and Them, and his first material to be released following his collaboration with Kanye West on Yeezus. The Manchester producer will release the new EP via Brooklyn experimental label Tri-Angle on 17 March.

In addition, Evian Christ will be celebrating the launch of the new EP with the next in his series of 'Trance Party' club nights in London at the Oval Space on 21 March, featuring sets from Travis Scott (also a Yeezus collaborator), Millie & Andrea (the partnership of his Tri-Angle label-mate Andy Stott, and Demdike Stare's Miles Whittaker), Lil Silva, Sophie, Powell, and Mssingno. Speaking to The Skinny in November last year, Evian Christ confessed that when Kings and Them dropped, he was less than ready for fame: "I was kinda thrown into the deep end... it received way more attention than I was expecting, or was ready for,” he told us, “and then all of a sudden it becomes your full time job." He also gave us the lowdown on his Trance Parties, and his intention of "taking away from the meaning of trance as a genre and back to what it actually means." Read the interview in full here.
