Art-rockers Django Django have confirmed the title and release date for their long–awaited second album – Born Under Saturn is due for a 4 May release.

The Scots-Anglo-Irish quartet teased the release of the new record with lead single 'First Light' last month, and drummer Dave Maclean has revealed that the new record will offer the band a new start following their much-loved debut. Maclean, who acted as producer on Born Under Saturn, said: “When we were writing the lyrics there were lots of references to rebirth, turning a new page and starting something again. I guess that’s something we all felt.”

The band have also announced a UK tour for May, including a show at Manchester Cathedral, and their previously-confirmed headline set at the first Live at Glasgow festival alongside the Thurston Moore Band and Honeyblood – find the full list of tour dates, and the tracklist for Born Under Saturn, below.

Django Django's self-titled debut was our music writers' second-favourite album of 2012, and the record also received a nomination for that year's Mercury Prize. Born Under Saturn is out on 4 May via Because Music.
