Stephen McLaren – former member of Edinburgh-based dream pop trio Collar Up – is set to release Yet Again, I Have Offended Everyone, the fourth and last single taken from his debut album We Used to Go Raving, which came out in September last year via Errant Media.

Yet Again, I Have Offended Everyone – due for release on 9 February – is a sprawling piano-led, gothic dream pop wonder, where McLaren's barritone vocals are accompanied beautifully by shimmering synths and a pounding bass drum. We're thrilled to be premiering the stunning, understated Jordan Yorkston-directed video for the single, shot entirely in black and white and adopting the nearly square format of 16mm film, with its rounded corners. You can watch the video, starring Isabel Palmstierna and with choreography by Aniela Piasecka, in the player above or on YouTube, and you can stream or download the single on SoundCloud.

"It's just a wee song that attempts to narrate the dogmatic self-hating that afflicts many after a night-out; maybe a night-out enjoyed a wee bit too much," McLaren tells us. "I wrote it a while ago, but it's still applicable, sadly. If you think it's too true-to-life, don't worry as it only lasts two and a half minutes. The song, that is. Your hangover might last longer, sadly."
