Edinburgh-based musician John Bryden, aka Eyes Of Others, released his Stimulus EP via Edinburgh’s Paradise Palms on 10 Nov. In our review, we described the EP as sounding a little like "a beat-driven Beta Band left alone too long in the dark." The EP’s centrepiece – 30+ Losers – features an infectious synth line and plodding bass, with Bryden’s ethereal vocals perfectly placed in the mix. The Skinny are delighted to be premiering 30+ Losers’ accompanying music video, which you can watch in the player above (or via this link if you're on mobile).

The video was made by Magnus Huntly-Grant of The Hypothecary and filmed on Bryden’s family farm. "For me, songs seem to come out of nowhere so the idea of making a video with Magnus then forced me to think ‘hmm what was that one about’, trying to get back inside it again,” Bryden tells us. “With this one I guess there’s a fair bit of looking back and the usual mid-life crisis stuff after passing 30.

"I often wonder and worry about being stuck in the present, only looking back, or imagining a future, with the present forever slipping through your fingers. It can be a sluggish and repetitive place to be and needs kicking out of.''
