Glasgow-based singer-songwriter, Ewan Cruickshanks, is set to release his debut album, A Glasgow Band, in January 2018 via Glasgow label Armellodie Records. The album was recorded in Glasgow’s Shady Lane studio by Chris McCrory (Catholic Action), and the first single to be taken from the album, Dreams, which features guest vocals and bass from Siobhan Wilson, is described by Cruickshanks as “a jangly pop song about friendship, youth and believing in yourself”.

The Skinny is delighted to be premiering the fun-filled Friends-inspired music video for Dreams, which you can watch in the player above. The video features Cruickshanks and Wilson on New York City and beach backdrops, and at one point Wilson appears to cut off Cruickshanks legs – it's an ultimately fun and goofy video, and the pair's friendship really comes across, which is a pleasure to watch. Of the single, Cruickshanks tells us: "Dreams is a simple little pop song celebrating the countless memories Siobhan and I share as friends growing up in Elgin."

The single's B-side, Scones, is a spoken word piece which can only be described as a loving ode to the one and only perfect accompaniment to the cup of tea; the scone. You can watch the video for that below, but make sure you have easy access to a scone as you'll want nothing more than to eat one after watching.

Dreams is released on 29 Sep via Armellodie Records, and available from all major download and streaming services, as well as through Cruickshanks' Bandcamp page; A Glasgow Band is due for vinyl and digital release on 12 Jan.
