You may recognise members of this Glasgow-based outfit from former bands such as The Yawns, Mirror Parties and Copy Haho. Drawn from places near and far to Glasgow for its vibrant music scene, Lush Purr are brothers Gavin and Rikki Will, originally from a small fishing village near Aberdeen; Emma Smith, who grew up in Doune, near Stirling and Andres Fazio from Santiago, Chile.

Lush Purr released their debut album, Cuckoo Waltz, on cassette via Fuzzkill/Electropapknit Records in August of last year, going on to gain a nomination for Best Newcomer at last year’s Scottish Alternative Music Awards.

The four-piece are set for a full vinyl release of Cuckoo Waltz via Edinburgh label Song, by Toad on 5 May and to celebrate National Gardening Week, they’ve produced a brand new video for (I Admit It) I’m a Gardener, filmed at Glasgow's Jurassic Parrr dinosaur adventure golf course in Clydebank.

Why adventure golf, we hear you ask? Gavin Will tells The Skinny: "Golf goes with the gardening. When you're below a certain age, gardening and golf can be seen as a bit lame. We say, be proud of being a gardener. Because we live in a tenement our gardening opportunities are limited but we make the most of it. Every room in our flat is full of plants: flowers, herbs, bushes. It's like Jurassic Park in there too."
