Lomond Campbell – The Lengths (Video Premiere)

Watch the brand-new video for The Lengths from Triassic Tusk label boss and FOUND member Lomond Campbell

Ziggy Campbell's 2016 solo album Black River Promise combined beautiful songwriting and intricate string compositions, with the tracks recorded in Campbell's Highland home. Following an initial release on the Triassic Tusk label run by Campbell and Stephen Marshall, the LP was remastered and rereleased via Heavenly Recordings at the end of last year. We're delighted to be sharing the video for The Lengths, taken from the album, which you can watch in the YouTube player above.

The video, directed by the Coconut Island collective, was shot at locations around Campbell's home. Campbell explains: "A pair of filmmakers followed me around my corner of the Highlands for a couple of days during winter. I rambled and peddled my way through the landscape on the hunt for elusive deer horn with them in tow. The Lengths was written in the last hour, on the last day of a week-long collaborative recording session with Slow Club, King Creosote, Pictish Trail & James Yorkston.

"King Creosote liked the song so much he decided to record his own cover version of it. It’s a song about going the distance with someone. Nice & simple."

The remastered version of Black River Promise is out now via Heavenly; Lomond Campbell plays Tunnels, Aberdeen,16 Mar; Summerhall, Edinburgh, 17 Mar (both shows with Out Lines).
