With a name like iLiKETRAiNS, playing a disused tunnel in which you can hear the faint rumblings of passing carriages must be a wet dream. But unleashing slow burning dark melodies on a crowd who are already half full on the chemical pop and electro-punk mash-ups that the Blitzkrieg Bop DJs have been throwing at them is another matter. They're a brooding bunch on stage and their sleepy dark lullabies almost send you into a trance, and just as quickly shake you aggressively from your sweet day dream, in much the same way that Mogwai and Sigur Ros do when they play live. But their format gets stuck in a cycle where every song starts and ends with the same tempo, which quickly becomes tired and repetitive. Not the best choice for this club night but place the prog rockers in a more fitting scene and they'll be sure to shine. [Rhona Macalister]
