The crowd formed around the stage in the usual folk semi circle creates a gap of about ten rows between them and first act, Charlie Winston. Dressed like Jack White and sounding like Mr David Viner, it doesn't take the lone bluesman long to bridge the gap with fans flocking to the front, chanting "your father was a duck!" From the age of 15, Amy MacDonald has been silencing pubs, shop and coffee shops around Glasgow with her beautiful voice and thought provoking lyrics and tonight was is no exception. However, being a Tut's crowd they are not long quiet and are soon very vocal in their appreciation for the young Glaswegian. After a nervous start she settles into the spotlight and treates the packed venue to a set list that belies her tender years and hints at a very bright future. [Neil Douglas]
