Torche @ Stereo, 24 Nov

Article by Jason Morton | 17 Nov 2010

Perhaps one of the only bands in history to attempt to bridge pop and metal – doom metal, for that matter – and not completely fuck it up, Torche storm Glasgow’s Stereo for a set sure to be thunderous.

Supporting Songs for Singles, a new mini-album that expands on the accessibility apparent on 2008’s Meanderthal, Torche will be headlining Glasgow for the first time.  And considering the Miami three-piece had most of their gear nicked in Chicago earlier this year, it’s a good bet they’ve got some issues to get through - best remedied by a dose of heavy, heavy metal.
