The Meaning of Life, Part V: Live Organ Transplants. You'd probably be better off handing over your liver at the door rather than sitting through this one, wherein an international assortment of backpackers get in with the wrong crowd somewhere in deepest darkest Brazil and find themselves kidnapped, abused and minus some vital internal bits and pieces, before the inevitable fight back and struggle for survival. Following on from the likes of Hostel and Wrong Turn, the torture porn cycle continues with this sordid entry that offers nothing more than titillation and exploitation (fine and well if this were still the '80s) as an urban myth is stretched to feature length without wit or invention. One of these days we're going to get back to a time when horror filmmakers will stick to telling good stories instead of trying to impress Quentin Tarantino. [Paul Greenwood]
