There's a whole host of film treats happening across Scotland in December. If you're looking to indulge in some Christmas nostalgia head to the Glasgow Film Theatre for two festive classics: It's a Wonderful Life and White Christmas.

Whilst in Edinburgh, to celebrate this year's Hogmanay dance theme, The Filmhouse are showing 4 dance films that will have you tapping your toe: Strictly Ballroom, Saturday Night Fever, Dirty Dancing and Top Hat.

Also in Edinburgh, at the Cameo on 11 December you can catch the surrealist 1928 classic The Seashell and The Clergyman with a live soundrack by Steven Severin (founder member of Siouxsie & The Banshees and acclaimed solo artist).

And don't miss The Magic Lantern's programme of short films exploring the representation of sex on the screen on 3 December. The screening includes Larry Clark's short film Impaled which looks at the impact of pornography on attitudes to sex. It's at 7.30pm at the CCA.
