Lost Map's Howlin' Fling returns for 2017

The festival on Lost Map's island home of Eigg returns this July

The usually-biennial festival returns to the island from 28-29 July for a second straight year to help celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Eigg community buyout.

The line-up will be revealed later; Lost Map head Johnny Lynch aka Pictish Trail says: "Our biennial event has mutated into an annual one. Well, for this year, at least. With the isle of Eigg celebrating its 20th anniversary of righteous community ownership, we thought we’d extend the conga-line. Since our very first bash in 2010 (entitled Away Game), Howlin’ Fling 2017 will be our fifth event on the isle, and we’re very excited. We want to party with you."

Past Howlin' Flings have featured sets from The Twilight Sad, Steve MasonDjango Django and Blanck Mass among others, alongside bands from across the Lost Map roster.

Tickets for Howlin' Fling 2017 go on sale on Sat 25 Feb at noon – tickets are £145, including weekend camping and ferry crossings. Read our review of Howlin' Fling 2014 here.
