Kelburn Garden Party reveal first acts for 2018

Ibibio Sound Machine, Goldie and the 2 Bears project of Hot Chip's Joe Goddard all feature on the 2018 Kelburn Garden Party line-up

The Kelburn Garden Party is one of the highlights of the Scottish festival calendar, set in the labyrinthine grounds of Kelburn Castle just off the Firth of Clyde. The first acts for this year's Party have been unveiled, with drum and bass icon Goldie, hip-hop duo Krafty Kuts and Chali 2na of Jurassic 5, and party-starting electro duo The 2 Bears topping this year's bill.

The first wave of bands for the festival, which takes place on the last weekend of June, is a pleasingly eclectic mix: high-energy afrobeat ensemble Ibibio Sound Machine, jazzy Glasgow producer Wuh Oh, reggae legend Macka B & The Roots Ragga Band, Dekmantel Soundsystem, Highlife DJ Auntie Flo and indie-folk outfit Randolph's Leap are just some of the names to look out for. Read the full list of confirmed artists below.

We're also delighted to say that The Skinny will be curating a stage at this year's Garden Party; details of our line-up, as well as curated line-ups from Uganda's Nyege Nyege Festival, Auntie Flo's Highlife record label, Edinburgh bass music crew Electrikal Soundsystem and London soul, jazz and beats label First Word Records, will follow later.

Kelburn Garden Party 2018 takes place from 29 Jun – 2 Jul at Kelburn Castle, near Largs; tickets are on sale now via kelburngardenparty.com
