For Scottish music fans of a certain age, the phrase 'Indian Summer' has a special, misty-eyed significance. The festival played host to the likes of The Fall, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Hot Chip and Yo La Tengo during its run in the mid-2000s, and now promoters PCL are bringing the name out of retirement for a series of all-day gigs across Glasgow at the end of August.

First up is Indian Summer 001, an extended two-room gig at SWG3 headlined by Australian slacker-rocker Courtney Barnett on Thursday 29 August. As well as Barnett, the line-up features a host of local talent including office faves CRYSTAL and Fauves across the TV Studio and Galvanizers spaces, with a special guest for the main support slot to be announced later.

Closing the weekend (as Indian Summer 004) is an all-dayer at Barras Art and Design headed by The Beths. The New Zealand guitar-pop quartet will be joined by a collection of acts for a day-long party on Sunday 1 September.

Tickets for Indian Summer 001 and 004 go on sale on Tuesday 7 May; full line-ups so far can be found below.
