The Electric Fields music festival has spent its past five years at Drumlanrig Castle in Dumfries and Galloway, but today it's been announced that the 2019 edition will now move to Glasgow's SWG3 venue. The festival plans to run on its original dates of 4, 5 and 6 July, with a mixture of indoor and outdoor stages. The line-up features Sleaford Mods, Metronomy, The Vaccines and Frank Turner.

Announcing the change of plan, Nick Roberts, Electric Fields Director, said: “After spending the past five years putting on a quality outdoor music festival we found the rising costs this year have led us to reimagining how Electric Fields takes place for 2019.

"Although we leave Dumfries & Galloway with a heavy heart, our new venue offers a very exciting opportunity for us to flex our creative muscle and put on an outstanding show in the heart of Glasgow."

The stage splits for this year's festival have also been announced – details can be found below.
