Electric Fields announces 2019 line-up

This year's edition of the festival is headed up by Metronomy, Frank Turner and Sleaford Mods

For its sixth year, Electric Fields is back with a line-up headed by a trio of crowdpleasing favourites – Metronomy, Frank Turner and his band The Sleeping Souls, and the Vaccines. Also near the top of the bill are Sleaford Mods and Fat White Family, who are both currently engaged in a three-way social media beef with IDLES.

Further down the line-up things get a bit more diverse – there are spots for Nadine Shah, the highly danceable Free Love, queer punks The Spook School and the energetic pop of Kero Kero Bonito. The homegrown acts on the bill include Malcolm Middleton, The Van T's, Fauves and Heavy Rapids (whose new video for Going Down we premiered earlier today). There's also stage curation from Sneaky Pete's and Neu! Reekie!, as well as food from street food greats The Pitt. Check out the full details of the line-up below.

This year's Electric Fields festival takes place at Drumlanrig Castle in Dumfries and Galloway, 4-6 July
