Electric Fields expands to second day for 2016
The Electric Fields festival will return as a two-day festival for its 2016 edition, it has been confirmed today.
The eclectic Dumfries event will return to Drumlanrig Castle for its third year on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 August 2016, and promises an expanded line-up with two full days of music and a host of other additions. Announcing the expansion, co-founder Nick Roberts said: "We’re really pleased to be able to offer a full two day festival experience for the first time at Electric Fields 2016. Having two days means we can bring even more incredible acts here to the beautiful estate at Drumlanrig Castle. The future of Electric Fields is hugely exciting and we can’t wait to welcome everyone come August."
Last year's festival was headlined by Fife folk supremo King Creosote, with sets from The Phantom Band, Miaoux Miaoux and Hector Bizerk among a host of Scottish talent on the bill. The Skinny programmed one of the festival's stages in 2015, with our line-up including performances from Blanck Mass, East India Youth, Happy Meals, and Vessels, as well as a surprise stripped-down set from James and Andy of The Twilight Sad.
