Festival Watch: Queens of the Stone Age for Reading & Leeds, Public Enemy for Tramlines, and more

Twin festivals Reading & Leeds (22-24 Aug) have enlarged their bills for 2014 – headlining the event will be Queens of the Stone Age and Paramore, with further lineup additions in the form of Vampire Weekend, Maklemore & Ryan Lewis, Imagine Dragons, Foster The People, Bombay Bicycle Club, CHVRCHES, Clean Bandit, Jungle, Boys Noize, Danny Brown, Eagulls, The Fat White Family, Eagulls, Nero, Danny Brown, Wolf Alice and more. The VISIONS Festival (2 Aug), a one day in-the-city festival taking place at The Oval in London, have announced their initial lineup – they welcome Poliça, plus a special intimate set from Andrew W.K., Anticon big-hitters Baths and Young Fathers, and The Range, Eagulls, Fat White Family, Perfect Pussy, Jaco Gardner and others. The Hop Farm Festival (5-6 Jul) have announced their bill for 2014 with an emphasis on classic 60s, 70s and 80s pop and rock for the main stage, featuring Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, Ray Davies of The Kinks, and Billy Ocean. The main stage also features Echo & The Bunnymen, Squeeze, 10cc and Arrested Development. Liverpool's Africa Oyé (21-22 Jun), taking place in the city's Sefton Park, have announced their headliner – Finley Quaye will top the bill at the festival dedicated to African and Caribbean music, the biggest of its kind in the UK. In addition, the festival will welcome Jupiter & Okwess International, who collaborated with Damon Albarn on his Kinhasa One Two album project. Bringing the hip-hop and electronic feels to the festival circuit in July is London's Lovebox (18-19 Jul) – they will be playing host to A$AP Rocky, Joey Bada$$, and Madlib, with Joy Orbison, Duke Dumont, Scuba, Mount Kimbie, Paul Woolford, Sub Focus and Moderat on DJ duties, plus appearances from The Horrors, Bonobo, Banks and Katy B among others. Over at new Dutch outing Eindhoven Psych Lab (6-7 Jun), brought to you by the team behind Liverpool International Festival Of Psychedelia, the emphasis is on mind-manifesting psychedelic sounds, with Wooden Shjips, Hookworms, Suuns, Spectrum, Cosmic Dead and others joining the bill. The experimental music-focused Incubate Festival (15-21 Sep), also in Holland, have announced their first wave of acts – they welcome 65daysofstatic, Current 93, RAUM, Basic House, Skullflower, Untold, James Pants and others. Details and tickets here.

And finally, Boardmasters (6-10 Aug), Cornwall's festival of music and surfing, have announced Snoop Dogg as a headliner – he joins a lineup featuring Bastille, Chase & Status, The Cribs, Palma Violets, Peace, 2manydjs and others.
