Festival Watch: Open'er, Sónar, Field Day, Brew at the Bog, Pulse

More additions for Poland's Open'er Festival (2-5 Jul) this week – joining the lineup are Odd Future's perennial hip-hop weirdo Earl Sweatshirt, Metronomy, Foster the People, Tourist, and returning 90s alt.rock royalty The Afghan Whigs. They join the already-announced likes of Pearl Jam, The Black Keys and Darkside. Details and tickets here.

Also beefing up its bill is Barcelona's specialist electronic music festival Sónar (12-14 Jun) – they will now be welcoming a grand total of 50 new artists, including a 6-hour all-vinyl set from DFA's James Murphy and 2manydjs, plus Chic feat. Nile Rodgers, Röyksopp & Robyn, Lykke Li, Todd Terje, Boys Noize, and a 2020Vision showcase. Joining the bill at the daytime festival will be Neneh Cherry, Trentemøller, Dâm-Funk, Kid Koala, Audion and Forest Swords, as well as Plastikman, Bonobo, James Holden, Jon Hopkins and Oneohtrix Point Never. London's Field Day (7-8 Jun) – will also be welcoming a few newcomers to their bill. This week, they added Jamie xx, Drenge, Funkineven, Avey Tare's Slasher Flicks, and Neneh Cherry to their bill, which already includes Jon Hopkins, Lunice, The Horrors, Temples and more. Details and tickets here.

One of Scotland's best boutique festivals, the Inverness-based Brew at the Bog (3 May), announced its lineup this week - they will play host to a fine selection of home-grown talent, including King Creosote, Admiral Fallow, Stanley Odd, Roddy Woomble, The Pictish Trail, Randolph's Leap, Casual Sex, Prides, Miaoux Miaoux, Machines In Heaven, Woodenbox, Atom Tree, Fake Major, Roman Nose, Beerjacket and more – check out the full lineup and book tickets here.
