Dimensions Festival (27-31 Aug) has just announced the first wave of acts confirmed to play in 2014. The Croatian festival takes place in Pula, in the surrounds of a 19th century fort. As usual, the lineup reflects a strong association with UK artists and experimental electronic music, with acts announced so far including Mala, Caribou, Jon Hopkins, Om Unit, and Vatican Shadow. Next year's event will feature stages curated by labels Hessle Audio and Leisure System, among others. Visit Dimensions Festival on Soundcloud to listen to mixes and performances from previous years. Closer to home, the Wee Dub Festival (7-9 March), which takes place across various venues in Edinburgh's Old Town, has announced its lineup – they welcome a selection of reggae, roots and dancehall stars including Iration Steppas, Channel One Soundsystem, Mungo's Hi-Fi and African Head Charge, among others.
