Billy Kirkwood is Durty

I think it's important to say - don't go see this act if you don't find school yard humour funny. But really, if you go and see a show called Durty and expect high brow commentary on the state of world politics and sly witticisms about 18th century poets, maybe you need to work on your expectations.

Personally I was laughing too hard to care. Billy Kirkwood pulls the audience in with his well paced adult humour. He staggers from anecdote to crude punchline with a wicked smile and his timing is superb.

His comedy is very Scottish, reflecting the vibrancy and, well, pure terror that living in Scotland can sometimes bring. You are missing something until you've heard his graphic description of Glaswegian drunks. Maybe not a good thing, but something. Like I say, it's hard to examine it too much on account of the laughing.
