Rock en Seine announces first bands for 2016

The first acts for this year's Rock en Seine festival in Paris have been announced, with Massive Attack and Iggy Pop among those confirmed to take the veteran French event.

Iggy Pop, who released his 17th album Post Pop Depression last week, features on the festival's final night alongside Glasgow synth-pop trio Chvrches and math-rock outfit Foals. Rock en Seine's second evening is headlined by Massive Attack, with returning Icelandic heroes Sigur Rós also featuring.

Joshua Tree's Eagles of Death Metal, influential Maryland rockers Clutch and Dr Dre collaborator Anderson .Paak are on the bill for opening night, which is headlined by Arctic Monkeys side-project The Last Shadow Puppets.
