The End is Nigh...

Just seven days left until it’s all over – What a shame that will be. No more going into venues in daylight and leaving 8 hours later when it’s daylight again. No more Scotmid visits at 5am to see if they have any tasty vegetarian snacks. No more Buffet King eat until you almost burst and die Chinese food. No more losing all fluids in your body in the sweatiest venues known to mankind night after night. No more comedians asking me do I wanna go to Arthurs Seat at 6am for a ‘nice walk’? No more people politely refusing a flyer from me outside the Gilded Balloon. No more people not so politely refusing a flyer from me outside the Gilded Balloon. Once it’s all gone I’m gonna miss it a lot and I am sure you will too so why not use the last few days to see some of the best shows you can and even some of the worst, I mean you can talk about those to your friends just as much too.

I did have the highlight of my fringe last night when I stayed in and watched TV (shocking I know) and saw the best episode of Wife Swap I have ever seen with my technician Adam. I mean there is car crash TV and then there is multi car pileup on a motorway TV and this was a prime example. A husband who was so into his hunting that he did the dishes in camouflage gear, a wife who tracked ghosts as a hobby, kids who used words with 15 letters in them at the dinner table in normal conversation and the quote “You’re a woman ain’t ya? You’ve got the boobies don’t ya? Then you should be cleaning the damn dishes!” America, I love you.

I should mention that as part of my show I am selling something from the show this week for charity on Ebay. However, a couple of comedian friends of mine, Bec Hill and Keith Farnan, decided to get in on the action and bet me that they could sell something for more than I could. As a result we are now having a competition to see who can sell for the most and the person with the highest bid gets to pick which charity all the money goes to.
