Busy bees and Fingers

Relaxing baths aside, we have been busy bees at Domestic Goddi HQ. Last week saw us entertaining the troops at the Guardian Podcast. As various male comics announced the recent birth of their progeny, we looked on, proudly reflecting that we even have that area covered – no news as yet, but before long Rosie will be having her own Goddette. A “last week” malaise has been setting in amongst some of the other performers. We’ve met them at varying stages of tiredness and preparedness to go back home.  Not us - we don’t want it to end. Helen and I each bought a flat down south last month. We abandoned them in a state of half decoration to do our tour of duty in Edinburgh. Between us we have a distinct lack of hot water, central heating and white goods. Domestic Goddi we may be, but in a weeks time we may well be living on tinned produce and giving ourselves an all over wash with a kettle. Maybe our show home isn’t so bad after all…Today we were thrilled to receive an invitation to the semi-finals of the Funny Women competition. Helen has proposed a celebratory visit tonight to a piano bar named “Fingers.”
