Edinburgh Art Festival (EAF), the UK’s largest annual festival of visual art, returns for its 15th edition in July and is now looking for a handful of early career artists to participate in the Platform group exhibition as part of the festival.

As well as a place in the Platform: 2018 exhibition, selected artists will receive an artist's fee and a dedicated production budget alongside mentoring and support from the Festival team throughout the development and delivery of the new work.

Artists Jonathan Owen and Hanna Tuulikki will select this year’s Platform artists, along with EAF director Sorcha Carey.

Pop Up Exhibitions and Events

For more established artists, there’s EAF’s Pop Up Exhibitions and Events. This project is aimed at artists, curators and organisations working in the field of visual art who do not have a year-round exhibition programme in Edinburgh. Applications are open to individuals and organisations working in Edinburgh, across Scotland, around the rest of the UK and beyond.

The deadline for applications for both EAF projects is Mon 12 Mar. For full criteria and application forms for both programmes, go to Edinburgh Art Festival’s website.

Edinburgh Art Festival takes place 26 Jul-26 Aug 2018 in various venues across Edinburgh
