Independent fashion show Nightwalk returns to The Arches for its fifth elaborate showcase. With 15 of Scotland’s most exciting up-and-coming designers and 30 aspiring models taking to the runway, this event promises to provide a striking display of fashion and creativity as some of Scotland’s hottest up and coming labels uncover their Spring/Summer 13 collections.

Nightwalk first wowed the Glasgow audience at The Arches in 2010. Since then, this exclusive event has built its reputation by continuing to support home-grown fashion talent. The entire event is put together by organiser Angie Koorbanally who has successfully managed to use Nightwalk to create a unique platform for young and emerging designers to display their latest fashion collections each season, as well as providing aspiring models with the opportunity to work for a large scale fashion event.

Dressing room manager Caroline Dunlop has assisted with the production of Nightwalk since the first show in 2010. Dunlop expresses how rewarding it feels to be a part of this growing event, and admires the tremendous amount of effort that is put in for the show to take place. “Only Angie (Koorbanally) could co-ordinate something as big as Nightwalk and still manage to DJ from the catwalk… you can see how passionate she is about her event and her excitement has a domino effect on everybody involved.”

Adding that, “It really is so much more than just a fashion show.  We have a proper Nightwalk family; we’ve got originals who have been part of it since the very first show and we are constantly welcoming new people.”

This year’s fashion extravaganza is expected to be bigger and better than ever with special guest designers Obscure Couture returning to the Nightwalk runway to reveal their latest beautifully crafted collection. Expect to be blown away with the vibrant new looks from their SS13 Ready to wear collection - Fake Believe. These ground breaking creations are a dreamy mix of pastel rainbows, neon brights, layers of tule and flashes of leather. Think fairytale with a glamorous hard edge

The audience can look forward to an array of Scottish fashion talent as a mix of local and established designers making their debut at Nightwalk. After being nominated for graduate of the year at The Scottish Fashion Awards, young designer Catriona Macallister will be displaying her most recent collection for the first time, showing a collection that focuses on the cut of each garment which reflects in the sharp tailoring of her clothing. Emerging designers; Danni McWilliams, Off With Her Head Millinery and Maggie Mowbray will also be showcasing their latest garments and hand-made accessories at Nightwalk for the first time, while the up and coming NLM Design will be returning to Nightwalk for the third time to showcase its latest bespoke handcrafted collection. Established womenswear labels Spencer Clothing and Red Carpet Luxury Dresses will also be revealing their best picks for the season while design studio and workshop, Vanilla Ink will be showcasing some of their most striking pieces of jewellery.  Also taking to the stage will be the wonderfully talented newcomers Allenomis, Anna Antczak and Curiouscope.

Hair styling will be provided by Sassoon Salon who will create new, original looks for the models that are sure to be perfect for the Spring/Summer’13 season.  Live DJ’s will be playing for doors opening at 8.30pm right until the after party drinks which will be available until 1am.
