Judy's Affordable Vintage Fair

Article by Nadine Walker | 04 May 2011

One may consider spending a spring afternoon trawling through the plethora of vintage shops in sandals and a sun dress - a joy but given the alternative choice of spending these precious spare hours in a beer garden, it doesn't sound quite so appealing...

This is where Judy and her Affordable Vintage Fair comes in, as there will be vintage stalls from sellers all over the UK under one roof.

Now counting 24 cities in their tour, Judy's remains the largest travelling marketplace in the UK. This May will make it seven months since Judy last visited Glasgow. Perfect timing as our wardrobes are still full of last season's cosy knits and bulky jackets but something a little lighter and brighter from Judy could be just what we need!

Judy Berger, The Director and Founder of the fair is really excited to land on Scottish soil once again: "Our Glasgow fair is one of our favourites and everyone is excited to head across the border once more. In terms of what to expect, think a little bit of everything which is perfect for a crowd as eclectic as Glasgow!"

Judy says she recognises the diverse style appreciated by Glaswegians and is equipped with traders to match. "Ranging from mums and daughters, fully fledged families to the immaculately-dressed art crowd, we have something for everyone."

So what treasure can we hope to find at the Glasgow fair? Original maxi and midis for under £20, fresh prints straight from the 70s and denim items perfect for spring days and summer festivals.

12-5pm, Sunday 8 May, £2, with students and OAPs £1.
