This October, In the Company of Wolves returns to Glasgow’s Sub Club (Fri 26 Oct) with a new multimedia fashion show and a horror theme right on time for Halloween.

The evening will combine music, art and independent fashion, whilst drawing inspiration from 70s B-movies and cult directors Dario Argento, William Castle and John Carpenter. The event will allow independent designers to showcase their new collections, with DJing courtesy of Dirty Wilson, of LuckyMe/Wrong Island, all the while bringing a sense of theatricality back to the catwalk.

Favourites include Samantha McEwen, the designer of the Isolated Heroes label who will be premiering her new collection of voodoo-inspired pieces – expect bright colours and beautiful bold graphics. Designer Bonnie Bling’s collection will take inspiration from horror themes for their SheepS clothing, whilst Glasgow milliner Fair Feathered Friend will most likely cause a catwalk sensation with their native feather headdress.

In the Company of Wolves was started in April 2010 by students Claire Stuart and Ally Turnbell. As Stuart recalls: “We’ve always wanted our shows to be about showcasing the wealth of Scottish independent talent, but bringing a sense of theatrics back to the catwalk. For us it's very important to raise awareness of some of the incredible talent we have within Scotland - and encouraging people to buy indie.”

Details of the other designers present on the night are available through the event’s Facebook page and tickets are can be bought through www.tickets-scotland.com (£10). Early booking is recommended.
