Hair Raiser

Sub Club is renowned for its top notch club nights and impressive guest DJs but on Thursday 3 May the venue will become host to a night with an extra kick, as the Hair Raiser event will be taking over.

Hair Raiser has been organised as a fundraiser for the upcoming film ‘Waitress’ by actor/director Stephen Sheriff, which will be released in August and will be showcased at the Glasgow film festival. The entry fee is a mere £6 and will go straight to helping produce this exciting new film venture.

Hair for Heroes will be providing the entertainment with a catwalk show (with a film screened alongside), so watch out for some daring and outrageous styles to get you inspired for the coming season’s new hair trends. Lou Clave, the main stylist is renown for her extreme looks with striking colours, wigs and extensions. Her strong styles are seriously worth a look, even if you aren’t brave enough to try them for yourselves! Clothing will be supplied by Scottish favourites Isolated Heroes, Obscure Couture, Rebecca Torres and We Love To Boogie, amongst others. The LCR makeup team will also be taking part to display stunning looks ranging from bold blues, smoky statements and dreamy dewy faces.

Amongst all this glamour there will be sets from some of Glasgow’s favourite DJs, with Number’s Jackmaster, JG Wilkes from Optimo and the Thunder Disco Club gang all ripping up the dance floor to get the crowd in the zone.

So grab your hairspray and get glam as this event will be exhibiting some of Glasgow’s best talent!
