Tapping into the wonderous world of social media, the Edinburgh Charity Fashion Show organisers are creating a buzz around their upcoming show; blogging, tweeting and instagramming behind-the-scenes insights and sneak peeks!

Now in its 9th year, the Edinburgh Charity Fashion Show has in the past featured garments from Luella and Vivienne Westwood, and is a firm favourite on Scotland's fashion calendar. It will take place on 16 March in the grand setting of the Assembly Rooms on George Street. The show is set to celebrate both local talent and household names. In aid of The Sandpiper Trust and Cancer Support, ECFS has an impressive bill this year, featuring The Skinny Fashion section regular Judy R Clark, Diane von Furstenberg, Temperley London and Fifi Wilson.

Successfully mixing fresh and established designers, this year’s show is built around an interesting theme. ECFS spokesperson Natasha Callin explains: “This year’s show begins with a new theme of duality, a concept that seems particularly pertinent in Edinburgh and one that is ever-present in the realms of fashion. We believe duality is identified as an inherent characteristic of Scottish culture. The fashion team for ECFS2013 is already sharing its ideas on their blog, BloggEd, and will be updating with inspirations for the final catwalk show.”

Ensuring they are a neon chalk in a box of black and white, the ECFS2013 boasts an individual character and an impressive reputation. With a host of twitter followers and innovative blogging under their belt, the show is sure to set Edinburgh’s spring fashion scene alight.
