Bold Souls: Off The Catwalk

One of Scotland’s favourite fashion events is making a welcomed return to Glasgow this Thursday, with a catwalk show and a pop-up shop. Yes, we're talking about Bold Souls!

Bold Souls was set-up in 2010 to celebrate independent design, and has remained one of the city’s most innovative fashion platforms over the past three years thanks to the lady behind it all, Silvia Pellegrino.
The Italian designer of Chouchou is passionate about underground labels and endeavours to push independent design to the forefront with the Bold Souls fashion event. Featuring the very best in local design alongside the best up-and-coming faces both on and off the catwalk, Bold Souls is a celebration of Scotland’s diverse fashion industry.

Pellegrino says: “Being an Italian living in Scotland, I’ve immediately noticed and appreciated the incredible amount of creative talent present here. Designers working in the fashion industry are mostly very humble and approachable people and as a fashion designer myself, I’ve always felt the need to bring everyone together because the community is not just welcoming and inspiring for me but for many fashion enthusiasts out there too.”

And for its return, the Bold Souls team are going all-out; treating fans to a much-loved pop-up shop as well as a fashion show, which will take place in the exclusive Penthouse of Hummingbird – giving attendees a feel for the clothes in a way that is impossible on the high street.  

Scottish Fashion Award nominees Jane Gowans and Georgia Wiseman make their Bold Souls debut, presenting contemporary classic jewellery made in Scotland. They will be showing alongside cult Scottish brands like the aforementioned Chouchou and Isolated Heroes. Fresh talent from the likes of Naromode, Danni McWilliams and Katie Lees will make this event one to remember.

Bold Souls: Off the Catwalk takes place at Hummingbird, Bath Street on the October 24 from 6.30pm. Entrance to the penthouse catwalk show costs £10 which includes a drink on arrival and goody bag. See you there!
