Teddy on the Tube

Revel in the campness and kitchness of it all.

Feature by Teddy | 11 May 2007

Greetings readers, and welcome to 'Teddy on the Tube', where I bring you the funniest, most topical YouTube clips of the month. This month, I suggest you check out Sinitta's 'So Macho'.

Some of you sharper tools in the Skinny-reading box may recognise this as the smash 1980s gay anthem - hardly topical. Well spotted, but have a little faith. Faith being the operative word.

The Scottish elections are upon us, but who to vote for? How about the Scottish Christian Party? For the homo-sceptic among you, their leader, the Reverend George Hargreaves, deplores the "Christianophobia" of "gay fundamentalists" peddled by "the pink press." On reading this I rushed off to buy the Financial Times but was unable to find the column he was referring to. He really should have given a page number. But why vote for someone with these views?

Watch 'So Macho'. Watch the whole video. Revel in the campness and the kitschness of it all.

That song was written by George Hargreaves.

Happy voting.
