Nick Offerman, the velvet-voiced actor best known for his Parks and Recreation role as Ron Swanson – the curmudgeonly bureaucrat with a heart of gold and a hatred for the very government he works for – is heading this way as part of his latest stand-up tour. The comedian, actor, author and noted woodworker brings All Rise to the O2 Academy in Glasgow on 28 August as part of a four-date UK tour, full details of which can be found at the foot of the page.

All Rise promises an evening of "deliberative talking and light dance that will compel you to chuckle whilst enjoining you to brandish a better side of humanity", which all sounds much more 'season seven Ron Swanson' than 'season one Ron Swanson'. Offerman says of the show: “My aim in this undertaking is to encourage my fellow Homo sapiens to aim higher in life than the channels of consumerism would have us imagine.”

Tickets for the All Rise tour go on sale on Friday 29 March at 10am via
