With a bag full of the freshest dubs from across the spectrum and with an appearance on the mic of Xplicit's MC BZ, Bailey rolled out the most memorable set of the night.

The 1Xtra tour bus rolled into Edinburgh University bringing with it four of the UK's most widely known and influential Drum and Bass DJ's. Fabio & Grooverider and Sappo & Bailey are the heavyweights when it comes to broadcasting d&b in Britain and they easily showed their might in front of the mainly student contingent at Potterrow. After a gratuitously hard edged start from the Xplicit residents, 1Xtras Sappo took the reigns for a polished opener. His tune selection was varied and rough, mainly consisting of dance floor moving rollers. Fabio was next up, the crowd had swelled and the spiritual leader of the liquid funk movement laid out fat tracks, full of groove, along side MC's Verse and Tonn Piper. Although he had some recurring problems with the needles jumping, the third guest, Grooverider kicked in his customary demolition derby of persistent, pounding drum and bass. The evenings climax was 1Xtras Bailey. Equipped with a bag full of the freshest dubs from across the spectrum and with an appearance on the mic of Xplicit's MC BZ, Bailey rolled out the most memorable set of the night ending the Scottish leg of what is establishing itself as an impressive national event.[Jonny Ogg]
