WhoMadeWho - Out The Door

Gomma's deliciously sexy dico-rock troupe WhoMadeWho unleash a quality slice of German disco punk-funk, to coincide with their recent tour with Soulwax. By and large, WMW outclass the Belgian brothers in their attempts to fuse new wave and disco: the title track is a well-structured song with a gorgeous electronic breakdown, Song Three an energised, jacking house number with filtered vocal snippets, and the Superdiscount mix of Out The Door employs Joakim-style beats to a stripped-down wall of guitars, creating something not quite punk, not quite house, and totally compelling.[Bram Gieben]
