With such an atmospheric soundtrack, the film also promises to be something special

Album title: Breaking and Entering OST
Artist: Underworld & Gabriel Yared
Label: V2
British dance kings Underworld have teamed up with Academy Award winning film and stage composer Gabriel Yared to co-write the soundtrack to the new Anthony Minghella film 'Breaking and Entering,' starring Jude Law, Juliette Binoche and Ray Winstone. The album is full of powerful, haunting melodies, and given the combination of its composers, sounds unsurprisingly majestic. 'Breaking and Entering' was shot in the Kings Cross area of London, exploring the deeper side of human relationships, and this score fits perfectly – the songs are exceptionally emotive, and the use of orchestration gives a beautiful, melancholy quality to the proceedings. Minghella has worked with Yared on several previous productions (including 'The English Patient,' 'The Talented Mr Ripley' and 'Cold Mountain'), so it's no surprise he has chosen to work with the talented composer again, and his decision to include Underworld adds a different quality to the record, in Minghella's words: "Gabriel discovered two composers who offered a thoroughly modern perspective." With such an atmospheric soundtrack, the film also promises to be something special. [Karen Taggart]
