The Society - Heavymightymoodygroovy

The Society is the brainchild of Danish Jazz composer Thomas Hass Christiensen, also one part of the globe-trotting Senor Coconut. HeavyMightyMoodyGroovy is his second album, and includes a wide selection of guest stars that include Dudley Perkins, Ovasoul7 and Georgia Anne Muldrow, whose Olesi: Fragments of Earth release is worth checking out. The album's richly collaborative feel changes the mood nicely from track to track. Standout tracks include God Speed, Heavy Mighty Moody Groovy, Come With Me, and Love Love. A fine selection of tracks that live up the the album's title, and will no doubt appeal to all levels of society. [Huggy]
