The 4ORCE - UK Rappcats

Outside the history lesson of fallen British hip-hop contributors you have to consider why this track was even created, as the delivery of a brilliant concept doesn't translate

Single title: UK Rappcats
Artist: The 4ORCE
Label: Mind The Gap Recordings
UK Rappcats is a song dedicated to all of the key MCs, DJs, and culture of UK hip-hop. 4orce and Poynt Blak deliver an old school song using a slowed down James Brown break, demonstrating their ability to dig deep into the crates for that rare soulful gem from the past... not! Rarely do people sample the Godfather of Soul and get it so terribly wrong. The list of inspirational and influential people that the listener should pay homage to spans from Moni Love to Sway. When you get past the fact that over 150 people have been knighted by the gracious mic of 4orce and Poynt Blak, you start to realise that their flow is so out of time it would make even Mike Skinner smile. Outside the history lesson of fallen British hip-hop contributors you have to consider why this track was even created, as the delivery of a brilliant concept doesn't translate. [Omar Jenning]
