Sarah Nixey - The Black Hit of Space

The Black Hit of Space bounces along like a tennis ball about to lose its momentum

Single Review by Franck Martin | 10 Jul 2007
Single title: The Black Hit of Space
Artist: Sarah Nixey
Label: ServiceAV
The Black Hit of Space is the latest release from prim and proper electo rocker Sarah Nixey. The anoraks among you may remember Nixey from pop group Black Box Recorder, though I would question the man who knew such a thing. Nixey enlisted the help of label boss James Banbury for production, who has also worked with no less than Snow Patrol, Block Party and Editors. Overall The Black Hit of Space bounces along like a tennis ball about to lose its momentum with the melodically clichéd electro and bland vocal style promising little and delivering barely anything. Released: 9 July.
