Kings Have Long Arms - Lisa Riley/It Feels Like I'm in Love

We'd be surprised if this doesn't get a spin on national radio.

Single title: Lisa Riley/It Feels Like I'm in Love
Artist: Kings Have Long Arms
Label: Heart & Soul
This is a two-track double a-side glimpse into the strange pop sounds that Kings Have Long Arms (Adrian Flanagan) is unleashing this summer on his debut album 'I Rock-Eye Pop'. Lisa Riley is described by Flanagan as a reaction to reality television culture, and the idiocy of You've Been Framed ("Send in your clips of you looking a tit"). It begins with a Blackpool organ vibe before sliding into upbeat electro-pop; it's fun, it's catchy, it sounds like part of it was recorded in a pub during match halftime. It Feels Like I'm in Love is a cover of the original by Kelly Marie, but the notable difference is Mungo Jerry on vocals; Jerry originally wrote the track as a hit for Elvis. Outsider disco-pop is the result – it's not astonishing stuff, but we'd be surprised if this doesn't get a spin on national radio. [Alex Burden]

Double A side single/7"" vinyl out late July.
