Sounding like a souped-up Tubeway Army would if they'd replaced Newman with an anime sprite, The Karoshi Bros launch Woodville records, a label promising "nu-folk remixes of lounge on ringtones" and every other surreal combo possible. It's not a bad tune to kick off with, featuring a killer bassline and synths so retro they were probably found in a tar pit. What Messrs Karoshi think is chic is merely bloody irritating and ruins a great slice of bubblegum electro-pop. Doe-eyed, pigtailed school-girls have no place with our friends electric. [Liam Arnold]
