The latest instalment of the Swedish house invasion comes from John Dahlback (not to be confused with cousin Jesper) in the form of Flatfoot Can't Dance. This offering is exactly what we've grown to expect from John and his fellow Swedes: big, obvious tech house. King Kong has a hesitant beat structure and menacing overtones that lead perfectly into title track, Flatfoot Can't Dance, which pounds along slowly building acid squelches and a driving bass line. Snowman is the peak time banger that combines elements of the other two with frenzied oscillating loops to devastate any dancefloor. [Peter Walker]
