A great atmosphere is let down by a lacklustre night under the railway as Green Velvet comes to town<br/>

The claims by some outside that there 'are plenty of tickets left' seemed to be made a mockery of by the heaving mass of clubbers that filled the Arches to welcome the iconic Green Velvet to an equally iconic Pressure. After some excellent recent events and many exciting future line-ups, this month's evening of debauchery had a lot to do and wasn't helped by the cancellation of the brilliant Ivan Smagghe. In the main arch Green Velvet came on to a jammed arena and kept things going well with his usual tough brand of semi-evil techno, tracks such as How's Your Evening So Far, and his vocal performance of La La Land got a good reception. However, with neither arch ever seeming to really produce anything that pushed the boundaries and the fun, it wasn't the finest Pressure this year - but you can be sure it will be back to its best shortly.
