Album title: The Very Best of Moby
Artist: Go
Label: Mute
Having been in the music business for over fifteen years, perhaps it was time for Moby to release a greatest hits package. Featuring classics dating from his first big hit Go in 1991, through to his latest release New York, New York, the album chronicles his best-known songs, including Porcelain, as featured on the soundtrack to 'The Beach', and We Are All Made of Stars, written after the 9/11 bombings. Bound to be a commercial success, a more appropriate title than 'The Very Best Of' woul have been The Greatest Hits, as this release only features exceedingly chart-friendly songs. It would have been of more interest to hear some older tracks and see how he has progressed as an artist, rather than the same old tunes we've heard a million times before. Buy this only if you are interested in the tracks from 'Play' which have made Moby a household name. [Karen Taggart]
