Funk D'Void & Phil Kieran - Worm of Mouth/Tick Tick Tick

Funk D'Void and Phil Kieran return for their third collaborative venture through Soma. Their first two releases Black Worm and White Lice have been repeatedly heard escaping from speakers and polluting dirty dancefloors the world over with their brand of music. Worm of Mouth is somewhat reminiscent of the Super Scientists; it trudges along steadily while throwing the occasional punch. Tick Tick Tick has a great opening with promise of it going somewhere much darker, but sadly falls short. It does exactly what is says on the tin, but that's about it. For those of you who are left hungry for more, the good news is that Funk and Phil are starting work on an album for release sometime next year. [Natalie Doyle]
